To Whom It May Concern,
The NIA has contributed significantly to the development of Australian accounting standards and broader corporate policy in Australia.
I note that the NIA is also a full member of the International Federation of Accountants and is a strong contributor to the development of the accounting profession in Australia and the broader region.
This includes representation on numerous Australian Government and bilateral committees and councils. I am advised that the NIA recently participated in the IFAC G20 Summit in London which was designed to develop IFAC s response to the G20 following the events of the Global Financial Crisis.
I have worked closely with the NIA AND I fully support its endeavors to enhance cooperation amongst accounting bodies through a truly global accounting profession.

澳大利亚国家会计师协会（NIA）是澳大利亚法律认可的三大会计师专业团体之一，其他两家是澳大利亚特许会计师协会（ICAA）和澳洲会计师公会（CPA AU）。NIA对澳大利亚的会计准则与广义企业会计政策的发展做出了巨大的贡献。
NIA的每一位会员都是高素质的会计专业人士。NIA独一无二的专业项目为顺利完成学习项目的学员提供商学硕士学位（专业会计方向）。NIA一直致力于会计职业道德领域，是澳大利会计亚专业与道德标准委员会（APESB--负责会计行业道德标准的发展）的合作伙伴。同时，NIA还是澳大利亚会计师联合团体（JAB）的成员，JAB是由澳大利亚三大会计师专业团体的主席和总裁联合组成的，共同研究会计行业利益问题的实体机构。
我注意到，NIA还是国际会计师联合会（IFAC）的全会员成员，这对于澳大利亚乃至更广领域会计行业的发展是一大保证。其中一项就是，NIA可以作为众多澳大利亚政府和双边委员会和理事会的代表出席会议。据我所知，NIA近期参加了国际会计师联合会20国集团伦敦峰会，研究以寻求抵御危机之道。
